Everything you need to know about iPhone 4: Specs, Reviews, Apps, How-Tos, and more

Wonder if you can upgrade to iPhone 4 sooner?

  • So wait no longer. Dial *639# on your AT&T device and you’ll get text message with the upgrade information. As it was mention at unveiling, existing customers will be able to move to an iPhone 4 on the 24th of June, if they due for an update in 2010.

As it turns out not everybody will qualify for full discount, Steve Job’s statement left this part unclear. Some people will get a full discount on iPhone upgrade price ($199 / $299 for the 16GB and 32GB, respectively), but others will eligible at some particular date in the future. Fortunately is is not all bad news, those who does not qualify right now still can upgrade but will have to pay $200 more for the iPhone 4 plus $18 fee. $499 / $599 is still a little better than no-commitment price of $599 / $699, but you get stack with AT&T.

It still unclear how pre-order will work, so stay tuned for new development in iPhone 4 upgrade saga.
